Lawn Fertilization

Feed your lawn with nutrients for a lush, vibrant green.

Service Description

Our fertilization service nourishes lawns in the Blue Ridge Mountains with slow-release nitrogen fertilizers, applied at 0.7–1.0 pounds of nitrogen per 1,000 square feet per application to promote steady growth and rich color for cool-season grasses like tall fescue. We recommend a soil test to determine the precise nutrients needed, and we utilize the results to customize our approach, addressing your lawn’s specific deficiencies for optimal health. Our program includes 3–4 applications per year, tailored to Virginia’s climate, ensuring deep roots and resilience against temperature swings and droughts. Frequency: 3–4 applications annually: early spring (March–April), late spring (May–June), early fall (September), and late fall (October–November). Best Timing: Early spring and fall are ideal for fertilization to support active lawn growth. We avoid summer applications to prevent stress during Virginia’s hot, dry periods. Benefits: Fertilization, guided by soil test results, strengthens roots, enhances turf density, and improves drought resistance, creating a vibrant lawn that stands out in Staunton or Waynesboro neighborhoods. Regional Note: The Blue Ridge’s elevation (1,200–2,000 feet) and Zone 6b/7a climate challenge lawns with nutrient variability. Our soil test-based fertilization delivers healthy, green results for Augusta County properties.
